Planning
Why does my plan start the day before?
A cold rest in the fridge gives a lighter, tastier crust, so most styles default to 24 hours. Pick Same day when you plan and the plan starts about six hours before dinner instead.
My kitchen is warmer or colder than 21 °C. Does that matter?
Yes. Yeast works faster in a warm kitchen and slower in a cold one. Set your kitchen and fridge temperature in Settings and Pizza Night changes the yeast amount and the timings to match. See how much it changes.
The dough rose faster than the timer. What do I do?
Go by the dough, not the clock. If it has doubled early, tap Done and move on, or put it in the fridge to slow it down. Next time, tell the journal it was over-proofed and Pizza Night suggests less yeast.
Can I use fresh, active dry or instant yeast?
Yes. Pick the yeast type in Adjust dough. Pizza Night converts the amount: 1 g of fresh yeast does the work of about 0.4 g active dry or 0.33 g instant.
Reminders
I'm not getting reminders.
Check Settings › Notifications › Pizza Night on your iPhone and allow notifications, Time Sensitive included. A Focus mode can hold reminders back unless Pizza Night is allowed in it.
What does Running late do?
It asks how late you are, then keeps dinner where it is by taking the time from a rest that can safely spare it. If no rest can, it moves dinner and the steps after it, and tells you exactly what changed.
Will it wake me up at night?
No. If a step would fall between 23:00 and 07:00, Pizza Night proposes a different plan, such as a longer rest in the fridge with a little less yeast, instead of a night alarm. You can change those hours in Settings.
Can reminders use plain wording instead of Doughy's voice?
Yes. Settings › Reminder wording switches from "I've doubled! Time to shape me." to plain "Shape the balls."
Pro and purchases
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase that is yours for good, on every iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles payments, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and choose Pizza Night.
Your data
Where are my recipes and journal stored?
On your iPhone. There is no account and no Pizza Night server. With Pro you can turn on iCloud sync, which keeps a copy in your own private iCloud. More in the privacy policy.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app from your iPhone. If iCloud sync is on, also remove Pizza Night's data in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
